John Macvicar MBChB, MPainMed

Dr. John MacVicarwas born and raised in the Scottish Highlands and educated at the University of Glasgow Medical School. He has lived and worked in Christchurch, New Zealand, since 1980. He is vocationally registered with the Medical Council of New Zealand in musculoskeletal medicine and is the medical director of a multidisciplinary rehabilitation clinic. His main clinical interest is the evidence-based use of interventional techniques for the investigation and treatment of spinal pain, and he was trained in the application of these techniques through the Department of Clinical Research at the University of Newcastle, Australia. He has been a member of the Spine Intervention Society member since 2004 and served as President.
