John M. Miles MD

Dr. John Miles completed a fellowship in Endocrinology and Metabolism at Mayo Clinic, Rochester MN. He was on the faculty at Mayo for 27 years and rose to the rank of Professor of Medicine there. He has been a Professor of Medicine at the University of Kansas since 2015.

Dr. Miles has long-standing research interests in metabolism and fuel homeostasis, particularly adipose tissue lipolysis and lipoprotein kinetics. Other areas of research include glucose metabolism in diabetes mellitus and hospital nutrition support.
