Dr. John M. Baust is the Founder, President, Chief Executive Officer, and Lead Scientist at CPSI Biotech, a biotechnology and medical device technology development company focused on innovative applications in cryomedicine, cancer therapy, and cell science. With over 15 years of professional experience in medical device development, Dr. Baust has been instrumental in advancing technologies that bridge fundamental biological research with practical clinical solutions. He is a co‑inventor on more than 30 patents and has played a key role in the development and commercialization of multiple innovative products in the cryobiology and bioengineering space.
Dr. Baust earned his academic training from Cornell University and the State University of New York at Binghamton and completed post‑graduate work at Harvard Medical School. His research expertise centers on the molecular mechanisms of cell stress and death induced by low temperatures, an area he has helped evolve into a modern, molecularly informed field of study.
A recognized innovator and entrepreneur, he has authored and co‑authored over 100 scientific publications, book chapters, abstracts, and patents spanning cryobiology, apoptosis, signal transduction, and cryomedicine.
