John Lombard LLB, LLM, PhD

John Lombard is a lecturer in the School of Law, University of Limerick. John is a graduate of the University of Limerick and University College Cork. He completed his LLB (Law and European Studies) at the University of Limerick in 2009, LLM in University College Cork in 2010, and PhD in University College Cork in 2014. His doctoral thesis sought to identify an appropriate legal framework for specialist palliative care in Ireland. Prior to his appointment, John worked in the School of Law and Social Justice in the University of Liverpool where he lectured in medical law and equity. He has also previously worked as a Research Assistant in the Governance, Risk and Compliance Technology Centre based in UCC. His research interests lie in the areas of medical law, bioethics, and intellectual property law.
