John Lambert-smith

John has over 20 years’ experience in management positions in design consultancy businesses within the construction industry and over 30 years’ experience in architecture, primarily operating at a senior level. A significant part of John’s design portfolio has been within the Healthcare sector. John’s healthcare, research & development, commercial and institutional project experience is comprised of many major developments including leading the design of the new Hamad Medical City Hospitals in Qatar – a development of 270,000 sqm, as well as leading the design documentation team on one of Australia’s largest hospital developments, namely the $1.2billion Fiona Stanley Hospital development in Perth, Western Australia.

John is currently the Executive Director for Health Facilities Planning & Design at Hamad Medical Corporation, leading the Corporation’s vision for the expansion of their Health Facilities with over 30 major projects currently in process of development. The vision of the Corporation includes developing patient-centred, 5 star Health Care Facilities, both sustainably and in quality.
