John Heick PT, PhD, DPT, OCS, NCS, SCS

Dr. John Heick is an Associate Professor in physical therapy and is board certified in both orthopaedics and neurology. Dr. Heick is a second year PhD student at Rocky Mountain University of Health Professions with a focus in Orthopaedics and Sports Science. John received his clinical Dctorate and Master's degree in Physical Therapy from Shenandoah University and an undergraduate degree in Exercise Science from Northern Arizona University.

Prior to his physical therapy education, Dr. Heick was a medic in the Air Force for 12 years providing medical care for patients in a primary care clinic and during aero-medical evacation in various aircraft. John has practiced for 10 years in various settings to include: emergency department, sports, orthopaedics, neurologic, wound care, aquatics, inpatient rehabilitation, acute care and in a balance center. Currently, John works in the clinic on a part-time basis where he treats patients with orthopaedic and sports injuries. In 2010, John received national recognition from the American Physical Therapy Association as an Emerging Leaader. John is active and engaged in his profession association currently serving as Chief Delegate representing all physical therapists for the state of Arizona.
