John F. Steege, Md MD

Dr. John F. Steege is a professor of obstetrics and gynecology at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and is director of UNC's Division of Advanced Laparoscopy and Pelvic Pain, Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology. Before coming to UNC, he was at Duke University Medical Center. Dr. Steege received his doctor of medicine degree from Yale University School of Medicine and completed his residency and fellowship training at Yale-New Haven Hospital. His clinical interests include advanced operative laparoscopy, benign gynecologic surgery, pelvic pain and endometriosis.

He is a fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. His other professional service includes the International Pelvic Pain Society, the American Pain Society, the American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists, the International Association for the Study of Pain, the American Fertility Society/American Society for Reproductive Medicine, the Bayard Carter Society of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, the North Carolina Obstetrical and Gynecological Society and the Association of Professors of Obstetrics and Gynecology.
