J. Eric Jelovsek, MD MMEd is the Director of the Cleveland Clinic Center for Multidisciplinary Simulation and Residency Program Director in the Obstetrics and Gynecology. He is a practices Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery specializing in treating women with a variety of pelvic floor disorders such as urinary and fecal incontinence, and pelvic organ prolapse. Dr. Jelovsek received his BS degree in Biochemistry from North Carolina State University in 1995, and MD degree from East Tennessee State University in 1999. He completed his residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Duke University in 2003 and an American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology/American Board of Urology-approved fellowship in Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery in 2006 at Cleveland Clinic. Dr. Jelovsek has also received specialized training in minimally invasive surgery which involves vaginal surgery, laparoscopy, and robotic surgery. Additionally, he completed a fellowship in Medical Education in the Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine and holds a Master's Degree in Medical Education (MMEd) from the University of Dundee, Scotland. Dr. Jelovsek is currently an Associate Professor of Surgery in the Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine at Case Western Reserve University. He is a member of numerous scientific and surgical societies and serves as co-principle investigator for the Cleveland Clinic in the Pelvic Floor Disorders Research Network; a network sponsored by the Eunice Kennedy Shriver Foundation in the NICCHD of the National Institute of Health in the United States. He lives with his wife, Jennifer, and three children, Morgan, Mason, and Madeline.
