Dr. John E. Tis is an assistant professor of orthopaedic surgery and pediatrics at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine.
A specialist in pediatric orthopaedics and sports medicine, Dr. Tis is currently one of the few fellowship-trained pediatric orthopaedic surgeons who is also board certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery in Sports Medicine. In addition to ACL tears and other sports injuries, he also enjoys treating a wide variety of pediatric deformitites including hip dysplasia.
He is an expert in performing arthroscopic surgical procedures on the ankles, hips, shoulders and knees, including ACL reconstructions. He treats injuries that include ACL tears, hip and shoulder dislocations (dysplasia) and labral tears.
