John Diffley FRS, FMedSci

John Diffley is the Deputy Director of Cancer Research UK London Research Institute and Director of the London Research Institute’s Clare Hall Laboratories. He is a world leader in the field of eukaryotic DNA replication and its control. He has combined genetic and biochemical approaches to obtain major insights into this crucial regulatory phenomenon that is essential for maintenance of genome stability and thus avoidance of cancer. John Diffley was the first to show that the protein complexes bound to DNA before replication are different from those bound during replication.
