John is trained in Geriatric and General Medicine in the North East of England, New Zealand and Sydney. His clinical practice is in Acute Inpatient Elderly Care, Acute Medical Admissions and providing Tertiary Falls and Syncope Service. He is an active in Postgraduate Medical Education as an experienced educational supervisor, as assistant director of medical education in his employing trust, as a clinical trainer for supervisors through Health Education North East and through the Regional Advisor role for the Northern Region.
