John D. Roarty MD

Dr. Roarty is Chief of Ophthalmology at Children’s Hospital of Michigan. He is an Associate Professor of Ophthalmology at Wayne State University School of Medicine and the Kresge Eye Institute.

He is committed to excellence in clinical care in pediatric ophthalmology and adult strabismus and in educating future physicians in these areas of medicine. He has received the Distinguished Teaching Award from the residents at Wayne State University School of Medicine Department of Ophthalmology.

His clinical and research interests encompass pediatric eye cancer, pediatric glaucoma, pediatric cataracts and pediatric and adult strabismus. He participates in National Institute of Health, National Eye Institute sponsored clinical trials.
