John Cassel MD

Dr. John Cassel is a vascular neurologist and stroke specialist at USF Health and Tampa General Hospital, where he focuses on the diagnosis and management of cerebrovascular disease, acute stroke care, and neurovascular disorders. Board-certified in both Neurology and Vascular Neurology, he combines advanced clinical expertise with a patient-centered approach to improve outcomes for individuals with complex neurological conditions.

Dr. Cassel completed his medical education, neurology residency, and vascular neurology fellowship at the USF Morsani College of Medicine. His academic interests include stroke prevention, anticoagulation decision-making, and evidence-based neurological care, with ongoing involvement in clinical education and translational research.
