John B. Bennett, Ph.D., RVT, FICA, is curriculum coordinator and co-director of the Program for Medical Ultrasound at Wake Forest University School of Medicine in Winston-Salem, N.C. Prior to joining Wake Forest, he had been a frequent guest lecturer and co-director of the program’s post graduate CME course in neurovascular ultrasound.
He has been a mentor to neurologists, vascular surgeons, cardiologists, residents and fellows interested in learning hemodynamics and ultrasound, both from within an academic medical center setting and as an applications and product consultant with manufacturers of ultrasound technology. His primary interests include: identification of the “at risk” carotid plaque; the ischemic limb; procedural ultrasound and the intraoperative assessment of vascular repairs.
