Johannes Van Waart MSc, MMed, MBChB, FCOG

Founder and Director of Wijnland Fertility Clinic, Dr. Johannes van Waart, is committed to best-practice and new research that will continue to assist patients in finding solutions to their fertility challenges. Dr van Waart heads up the fertility and gynecology team at Wijnland Fertility and is President of the Society of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists.

Dr van Waart has assisted many patients through the fertility journey and believes that the experience is unique for each patient. “We never lose sight of the fact that this may be the first journey into infertility for our patients and, together with my partner Lizanne van Waart, we assist in demystifying that experience for each individual.”

A graduate of Stellenbosch University, Dr van Waart is a Fellow of the College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists of South Africa at Stellenbosch University and he has studied at the Institute of Tele-Surgery (EITS), Strasbourg, France.

Throughout his career, he has been involved in research and has authored and co-authored 19 internationally published research papers. When not in practice, Johannes enjoys a round of golf and a walk in the mountains.
