Johan Gani MBBS, FRACS

Dr. Johan Gani is a fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons and a member of the Urological Society of Australia and New Zealand.

Dr. Gani completed his medical training at the University of Melbourne in the year 2000. Following his basic surgical training at the Austin Hospital, he was accepted into the Victorian Urology training programme which he completed in 2010.

Dr. Gani undertook two further urology fellowship programmes after his training in Victoria. He first spent 12 months in Sydney at Concord Hospital where he gained experience in voiding dysfunction, female urology and oncology.

He also traveled to Toronto for another 12-month fellowship at Toronto Western Hospital where he obtained expertise in neuro-urology, prosthesis surgery and sacral neuromodulation. Toronto Western Hospital is considered one of the major centres for voiding dysfunction and has the highest caseload of neuromodulation surgery in Canada.

Dr. Gani returned to Melbourne where he is now a consultant urologist at the Austin Hospital and the Western General Hospital. His private practice is based in Richmond and he also consults at Footscray and Kew. He operates at Epworth Richmond. Melbourne Private and Cotham Private Hospitals.
