Joel I. Sorosky MD

Dr. Joel Sorosky attended Tulane University where he received his Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. Dr. Sorosky completed his medical degree at the Chicago Medical School and his residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Hartford Hospital in Hartford, Connecticut. He completed a fellowship in Gynecologic Oncology at the Milton S. Hershey Medical Center.

Dr. Sorosky has been a member of the Board of Directors of the Gynecologic Oncology Group since 2009. He is board-certified in Obstetrics & Gynecology and Gynecologic Oncology. Dr. Sorosky currently serves as the Chair of the Obstetrics & Gynecology Department at Abington - Jefferson Health and is a member of the Department of Gynecology Oncology.

Dr. Sorosky’s practice is dedicated to Gynecologic Oncology with expertise in abnormal pap smears. In addition to treating women for cancers of the reproductive system, Dr. Sorosky has dedicated his life to teaching physicians of the future through his work at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics, Hartford Hospital, the University of Connecticut School of Medicine, the Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth, and the Milton S. Hershey Medical Center. He is the author of several peer-review publications and books and has presented over 116 presentations and abstracts. Dr. Sorosky has been a principal investigator for more than 15 OB/GYN clinical studies which have received grants for up to $150,000 per year.
