Dr. Chang's research has been focused on image-guided stereotactic radiotherapy (new indications, toxicity, technique optimization, biological mechanism, and clinical outcome), proton therapy (indications, treatment planning optimization, motion management, intensity-modulated proton therapy, and clinical outcome), intensity-modulated radiotherapy, combined immunotherapy with radiotherapy (novel indications, biological markers, mechanisms, dose/sequence optimization, and clinical outcome) and radiation biology (gene therapy, cancer stem cell, molecular markers).
