Jody S. Hayes CENG, MIMMM

Jody Hayes began his career as a Materials Engineer at Ilmor Ltd in 2002 having completed a MMatSci at UMIST. During his four and a half years with the company working on the V10 and V8 Formula 1 engines, he expanded and honed his knowledge on materials selection, testing and development, heat treat and surface treatment processes and failure investigation.

In 2006, he made a career move and became Programme Manager of a Level 3 Motorsports course at Bridgwater College in Somerset. This role fed his love of hands on Motorsport as well as developing is technical knowledge and management skills. The opportunity to share Formula 1 experience and knowledge, and use these to inspire the next generation of engineers and designers was greatly enjoyed and added to the value of this experience.
