Jodie Miles, principal audiologist and director of Mackay Hearing, is passionate about providing high-quality health-focused hearing services in Mackay and throughout the region. Jodie has over 14 years of experience in both government and private hearing clinics in Mackay. Jodie is a fully qualified audiologist, having obtained a Masters of Audiology from the University of Queensland in 2006. Jodie also has a qualification in speech therapy, having completed a Bachelor of Speech Pathology with Honours at the University of Queensland in 2004. Jodie is fully registered as a member of Audiology Australia (clinical certificate of practice) and is a member of the Independent Audiologists of Australia and the International Society of Audiology. Jodie regularly updates her knowledge and skills by attending conferences, seminars, and training. Jodie takes pride in her focus on holistic health outcomes, taking the time to carry out her duties, thoroughly, her ability to communicate clearly, and ro connect with clients to obtain a clear understanding of their needs and being a part of the community she is dedicated to serving. Jodie is passionate about all aspects of audiology, but takes a particular interest in adult rehabilitation (including tinnitus counselling, hearing aids, and cochlear implants), paediatric testing (including auditory processing disorder), and providing effective guidance to a child’s support network (including parents, teachers, and others) to maximise their hearing, learning, and development potential.
