Jodi Black PhD

Dr. Black is the Deputy Director of the Office of Extramural Research, where she oversees and supports initiative development and grants management policy and processes and the small business and extramural technology development programs. She has over 25 years of scientific research and research administration leadership experience with a diverse background in basic and clinical science, and programmatic administration. In her career, she has developed, implemented, and managed large, diverse, multidisciplinary scientific programs in areas including infectious diseases, cancer and genomics and has developed strategic alliances between academic, healthcare and commercial organizations to leverage resources and capacity across institutions.
