Joaquin E. Cigarroa MD, FACC, MSCAI

Dr. Cigarroa practices general cardiology. He also does procedures on the heart, including angiograms, percutaneous coronary intervention and treatment for hypertrophic cardiomyopathy. He also does procedures for atrial septal defects and patent foramen ovale. His other interests include coronary artery disease, heart valve disease and aortic diseases.

He graduated from Yale College, received his medical degree from Cornell Medical School and completed his residency, cardiology fellowship and interventional cardiology fellowship at the Massachusetts General Hospital. Dr Igor Palacios served as a mentor who stimulated Joaquin’s interest and subsequent career in interventional cardiology.
