Joao Incio MD, PhD

Joao Incio is a former medical doctor with a passion for new technologies and the design of next-generation models of care. He also holds a Ph.D. in molecular medicine, with a postdoctoral research fellowship at Harvard Medical School / Massachusetts General Hospital in the fields of metabolism, immunology, and cancer. He has led cross-functional teams of academic and medical experts over 12+ years of research in molecular medicine and oncology, cardiovascular and metabolic diseases, with several patent applications and scientific publications in top journals.

More recently, He was a senior partner at a medical education start-up in Boston; a life sciences strategy consultant at L.E.K. Consulting and Project Manager for the Imperial Consulting Group, with expertise in digital healthcare developing clinician-facing solutions and improving care delivery models; and Associate Medical Director for Global Strategy at Vertex Pharmaceuticals. Currently, hold the position of Principal, clinical trial optimization at Sensyne Health.
