Dr. Joao Ricardo Maltez de Almeida, MD, Ph.D., is a Board Member at the Aristides Maltez Hospital. He is also a Radiologist at the CAM Group at the
Women's Assistance Clinic. He has been a member of the Brazilian College of Radiology since 2003. In 2015, he obtained the title of Doctor in Medicine and Human Health from the Bahia School of Medicine and Public Health, with a maximum grade in his thesis defense (published in the American Journal of Roentgenology (AJR) ). He has published works in national and international journals and has continued to participate in specialist conferences. At the moment, he works as a general radiologist, with emphasis on the areas of Women's Imaging and Neuroradiology in the Diagnostic Medicine services of the Hospital das Clínicas da UFBA (University Hospital Professor Edgard Santos - HUPES), where he is the preceptor of the medical residency in Radiology and Diagnosis by Image, Women's Assistance Clinic (CAM Group) and Alianca Hospital.
