Dr. Jody Dushay is an Assistant Professor of Medicine at Harvard Medical School and in the Division of Endocrinology at the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center. Dr. Dushay received her M.D. from Harvard Medical School, where she spent one additional year as a Howard Hughes Medical Student Fellow. She completed her internal medicine internship and residency training at the Beth Israel Deaconess. She also completed her fellowship in Endocrinology at the BIDMC and received her Masters in Medical Science from Harvard Medical School/MIT’s combined Clinical Investigator Training Program.

Dr. Dushay has been designing and carrying out clinical research studies in humans for the past 10 years. Her particular area of focus is obesity and complications thereof, especially diabetes and nonalcoholic fatty liver disease. Dr. Dushay serves as a Vice-Chair for the Institutional Review Board of the BIDMC and is the Associate Program Director and Medical Research Officer of the Harvard Catalyst Clinical Research Center. Dr. Dushay has been a mentor to fellows interested in clinical research for the past 6 years and peers review manuscripts for several diabetes and obesity medical journals. Dr. Dushay has recently launched Well powered, a medically supervised weight loss and wellness program at BIDMC.
