Dr Joanne Lin is a Senior Lecturer and registered pharmacist in the School of Pharmacy, University of Auckland. Joanne completed her PhD in neuro pharmacy looking at the effect of methamphetamine addiction on the human brain with a focus on magnetic resonance imaging and pharmacotherapies for addiction. Joanne completed 5 years of postdoctoral training at Stanford University and the University of Alabama at Birmingham before returning to the School in 2018. Her research focuses on developing neuroimaging measures for detecting brain inflammation. Her goal is to continue to research in the field of clinical neuroimaging in New Zealand and hope to continue to undertake research in neurological and neuropsychiatric conditions to improve health outcomes for New Zealanders.
