Joanna Geisinger serves as Chief Executive Officer at TORq Interface, a company she founded in July 2016. Before founding TORq, Joanna spent three years as a medical device representative for Smith & Nephew, and three in surgical sales at Zimmer Biomet. In early 2016, when she originated the idea for TORq, Joanna left sales and committed to a Two-Year MBA at the Babson College F.W. Olin Graduate School of Business.
In May 2017, TORq won the Babson Business Plan competition. In 2017 and 2018, TORq was championed by Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center (2017) and Brigham and Women’s Hospital (2018) as a finalist in MassChallenge HealthTech. Joanna was also named one of MedTech Boston’s 40 under 40 Healthcare Innovators from Boston and beyond. Joanna is passionate about entrepreneurship, research, and she is a staunch supporter of mobile health. Her passion stems from her first-hand experience with supply-chain management issues in healthcare and her belief that supply-chain costs can be reduced.
