Joanna Bonnici MS, PhD

Joanna Bonnici trained as a biomedical scientist in Malta. Currently funded by the CRUK and EPSRC, and in the fourth year of her DPhil in Chemical Biology at the University of Oxford, her research focuses on the biochemical and cellular characterization of histone demethylases (KDMs). Specifically, she is interested in investigating the alternative roles of KDMS, including arginine demethylation, and the interactions of these enzymes with non-histone proteins that have important roles in cancer.
