Joann O'toole RN, BSN

JoAnn O'Toole is a nursing editor and writer who works as an ER nurse at a certified stroke center at Kaiser Redwood City in California. Prior to that JoAnn worked for fifteen years in the neuroscience department at Kaiser, seeing many older patients with a wide variety of medical and neurological problems. She has spent time living and studying in Mexico City and uses her language skills on the job to facilitate communication with Spanish-speaking patients. In addition to the ordinary certificates an ER nurse maintains, including ACLS and PALS, she has specialty training in sepsis and acute stroke management. JoAnn helps ATrain Education to ensure compliance with accreditation standards.
