Joachim M. Greuel PhD, MBA

Joachim is the Managing Partner and Co-Founder of BioScience Valuation, a company dedicated to commercial, scientific and value assessments for the life sciences.

Joachim has his Ph.D. in Physiology 'Summa Cum Laude' from the Max Planck Institute for Brain Research in Frankfurt (Germany) and his MBA from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania (USA). At the IE Business School in Madrid (Spain), he was the Academic Director of the “Master in Biotechnology Management” program and Associate Professor of Finance and Health Management. He is also a certified stockbroker/trader (Frankfurt Stock Exchange).

Joachim began his career as head of a research team at Bayer AG. After completing his commercial training, he switched to the strategic service practice of Andersen Consulting (Switzerland and Germany). Prior to founding Bioscience Valuation, a company dedicated to commercial, scientific, and value valuations for the life sciences, Joachim was an investment manager at NMT New Medical Technologies, a Swiss venture capital fund.
