Jinoos Yazdany MD, MPH

Dr. Yazdany is an Associate Professor in the Division of Rheumatology, Department of Medicine at UCSF. She is a rheumatologist and health services researcher with expertise in systemic lupus erythematosus and health care quality measurement. Dr. Yazdany received her undergraduate degree from Stanford, her Masters of Public Health from Harvard, and her MD from the University of California, Los Angeles. She completed medical residency and a rheumatology fellowship at the University of California, San Francisco. She joined the faculty in the Division of Rheumatology in 2006.

Her clinical activities include seeing patients in the UCSF Lupus Clinic, where she serves as co-Director, as well as patients attending both the Lupus Clinic and General Rheumatology Clinic at San Francisco General Hospital. She has received several honors for her work, including the Arthritis Foundation's Arthritis Investigator Award and the Lupus Foundation of America's Young Investigator Prize. Her research focuses on health care quality measurement, including measure development, implementation, and data analytics. She has served as co-Chair of the American College of Rheumatology's (ACR) Quality Measures Subcommittee and on the ACR's Quality of Care Committee. She is currently Chair of the ACR's National Registry Research and Publications Committee and serves on the National Quality Forum's Health Professionals Council.
