Jimmy H. Conway, MD graduated from the University of Oklahoma Medical School in 1983. In 1984 he moved to San Antonio, Texas where he began his residency in orthopedic surgery. Upon completion, he returned to Oklahoma in 1989 to pursue his career in orthopedics.
Dr. Conway joined Oklahoma Sports Science and Orthopedics in September of 1996 where he specializes in the surgical management of patients with shoulder and athletic injuries. Dr. Conway is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon and is a member of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons. He has served as an orthopedic surgeon for numerous high school and college teams. Dr. Conway has a passion for treating athletes, particularly those with throwing injuries.
In the early 1990’s Dr. Conway was 1 of 30 clinical investigators worldwide for the DePuy Global Total Shoulder System. He currently serves as a paid consultant for the Lima Corporation teaching other physicians total shoulder replacement techniques.
For personal reasons in 2009, Dr. Conway developed an interest in plant-based nutrition. He subsequently took an online course from Cornell University on Plant-Based Nutrition. Currently, he and his wife hold free twice-monthly seminars as well as hosting a monthly radio show speaking about plant-based nutrition.
