Jimmy Brant Beck MD, MED

Dr. Jimmy Beck graduated from medical school at the University of Washington and recently completed a fellowship in Pediatric Hospital Medicine at Children’s National Medical Center in Washington DC. During his time in Washington DC, he obtained a master's in Medical Education at George Washington University.

Dr. Beck has a strong interest in promoting High-Value Care and cost-conscious behaviors. He has helped develop two separate HVC curriculums in an effort to train learners (students, residents, fellow) and physicians to be good stewards of limited healthcare resources. For his next project, he would like to explore families’ and teenage patients’ perspectives on “Value” during bedside rounds, with the goal of informing faculty development programs. During his time off, he enjoys cooking, remodeling his house, wine tasting, and spending time with his two nephews.
