Dr. Li went to medical school at McGill University Medical School in Montreal, Canada and completed his Internal Medicine Residency at the University of Toronto Medical School in Toronto, Canada. Prior to medical school, Dr. Li also obtained a PhD in Biochemistry from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, Texas. After residency, he returned to the University of Texas Southwestern to complete fellowships in Cardiovascular Disease and Cardiac Electrophysiology at the medical school there. He has worked as an Attending Cardiologist, Cardiac Electrophysiology Consultant, and Director of Cardiac Pacing and Electrophysiology at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Minneapolis since 2002. In addition, he serves as the Associate Director of the Cardiac Arrhythmia Center and as Professor of Medicine at the University of Minnesota.
