Dr Jessie Bakker is the Senior Manager of Clinical Trials within the motion biosensors group at Philips. In this role, she is responsible for overseeing the deployment of motion biosensors (actigraphy) in pharmaceutical clinical trials, as well as advancing the field by liaising with specialist scientists and engineers to develop and test algorithms to define novel endpoints in a range of clinical applications. A graduate of the University of Otago, New Zealand, Dr Bakker completed her postdoctoral fellowship before joining the faculty of Brigham and Women’s Hospital and Harvard Medical School specializing in epidemiological studies and clinical trials in sleep medicine.
