Jessica L. Mellinger MD, MSc, MPhil, MSt

Jessica L. Mellinger, MD, is currently a Senior Staff Physician in the hepatology faculty at Henry Ford Health, where she leads a large and growing research group focused on executing innovative clinical trials and research studies to improve outcomes for patients with alcohol-associated liver disease (ALD). She currently leads three large NIH-funded studies focused on helping patients with ALD reduce alcohol use and connect with alcohol treatment.

In addition to her cutting-edge research, her team’s clinical work includes spearheading the development and expansion of the Henry Ford ALD Program, the largest integrated care program for patients with ALD in the world, which brings advanced hepatology, psychiatric, and addiction care to patients across the state of Michigan at five locations.
