Dr. Juntunen provides non-operative orthopedic and sports medicine care to athletes and non-athletes of all ages and disciplines. She cares for fractures, chronic and acute injuries, overuse injuries, strains, sprains, and bursitis. Dr. Juntunen also treats stress fractures, frozen shoulder, and tendonitis. Her goal is to create an individualized treatment plan that will meet her patient’s needs and future goals. Dr. Juntunen has a special interest in helping endurance athletes, cyclists, runners, and triathletes perform at their highest level. She wants to help them avoid injury as they push their personal boundaries to achieve their personal best.

Dr. Juntunen earned her undergraduate degree in zoology and biomedical sciences at the University of Oklahoma. She received her medical degree from the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine and completed her residency in family medicine at Scottsdale Healthcare in Scottdale, Arizona. Dr. Juntunen completed her sports medicine fellowship at the American Sports Medicine Institute at Andrews Sports Medicine & Orthopaedic Center in Birmingham, Alabama.
