Jessica Griffin, Psy.D. is an Assistant Professor of Psychiatry and Pediatrics at the University of Massachusetts Medical School, where she has been a faculty member since 2006. Dr. Griffin is a nationally recognized expert in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), the most rigorously tested treatment for trauma in children with over 18 clinical trials supporting its efficacy and effectiveness. Dr. Griffin is the only approved national trainer in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts for this evidence-based practice in the treatment of childhood trauma. Dr. Griffin provides training and ongoing consultation in TF-CBT for providers across New England. Since joining the faculty at UMMS in 2006, Dr. Griffin has trained and provided consultation for hundreds of clinicians across the northeast United States including Massachusetts, Connecticut, New York, and Maine. In September of 2012, as Principal Investigator, Dr. Griffin was awarded a 4-year, $1.6 million Category III (Community Treatment and Services Center) National Child Traumatic Stress Network (NCTSN) grant by the Substance Abuse Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) to develop the UMMS Child Trauma Training Center.
