Jesse R. Fann, M.D., M.P.H., is a consultation-liaison psychiatrist in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at the University of Washington, Seattle. Dr. Fann is also the director of the Psychiatry and Psychology Service at Seattle Cancer Care Alliance. He uses a comprehensive, multifaceted approach to help patients cope with their medical problems and achieve their goals. Dr. Fann’s clinical interests include consultation-liaison psychiatry, psychiatric oncology and neuropsychiatry. His research interests include psychiatric epidemiology, health services research, psychiatric oncology and neuropsychiatry. Dr. Fann is a professor in the UW Department of Psychiatry & Behavioral Sciences and an adjunct professor in the UW departments of Rehabilitation Medicine and Epidemiology. When working with patients, Dr. Fann uses a comprehensive biopsychosocial approach to understand and treat the whole person. His goal is to maximize all his patients’ functioning and quality of life.
