Jesse Aarden received his PhD on June 1, 2022, from the Rehabilitation and Elderly Care departments of the Amsterdam UMC, AMC location. During his PhD, he focused on the impact of acute hospital admission on the functioning of elderly people after discharge. View his dissertation. Jesse Aarden is responsible for the Smart Health and Vitality Lab, part of the Center of Expertise Applied Artificial Intelligence of the Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences. Purpose of this lab: facilitating Artificial Intelligence within education and research and training (future) professionals in the field of technology and AI. Jesse Aaden also works as a teacher at the European School of Physiotherapy (ESP), part of the Physiotherapy course at the Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences. ESP is an English-language physiotherapy program. Jesse Aarden studied Physiotherapy at the Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences and then completed a master of science in Health Sciences at Maastricht University.
