Dr. Jerry G. Ninia has authored numerous articles on the diagnosis and treatment of venous disease along with three textbook chapters on the topics of superficial and deep vein thrombosis, sclerotherapy, and endovascular therapy. He is a frequently invited speaker at international vascular conferences and has delivered over 100 lectures related to the topics of women’s health, vascular medicine, and venous disease.

A Fellow of the American College of OB/GYN, Surgeons, and Phlebologists, he is board-certified in OB/GYN as well as Phlebology and was instrumental in the creation of the nationally administered Phlebology board certification exam. He was a member of the American College of Phlebology Board of Directors from 2000-2008. He was a member of the Catholic Health Services of Long Island Board of Trustees from 2010 to 2014 and helped create quality initiatives to improve patient safety. His efforts resulted in St. Charles Hospital earning the Healthcare Association of New York State Pinnacle Award along with his earning the prestigious Theodore Roosevelt Award given to those individuals who provide outstanding voluntary contributions and leadership at Long Island hospitals.

He currently serves as Director of the Department of OB/GYN at St. Charles Hospital and has a voluntary faculty appointment as a Clinical Associate Professor at Stony Brook University Renaissance School of Medicine.

Dr. Ninia brings a breadth of knowledge and experience to patients at the Varicose Vein Center including the latest minimally invasive, ultrasound-guided treatment techniques for all stages of chronic venous disease.
