Dr. Schentag is a Professor of Pharmaceutical Sciences and of Pharmacy at the University at Buffalo (UB), State University of New York. He received a BS in Pharmacy from the University of Nebraska, and a PharmD from the Philadelphia College of Pharmacy. He then completed a postdoctoral fellowship in Clinical Pharmacokinetics at the UB. His PK/PD modeling interests and capabilities include the design and conduct of human clinical trials that evaluate the linkages between pharmacokinetic measures of exposure and pharmacodynamic measures of outcome, the design of human clinical trials evaluating the linkages between Antimicrobial Efficacy and/or Resistance and pharmacokinetic or pharmacodynamic surrogate markers, the disease models in humans, with particular emphasis on critical care patients in phase II or III trials, and the design and conduct of human trials of special populations for the effects of disease on pharmacodynamics, with emphasis on anti- infectives and oncolytics.
