Jerome Liang BS, PhD

Dr. Liang is a Professor, in the Departments of Radiology, Physics & Astronomy, Computer Science, and BME at Stony Brook University. He is also part-time professor in the Department of Technical Physics, Peking University of China and a collaborator for the Medical Department of Brookhaven National Laboratory (BNL).
He attended Lanzhou University of China earning his B.S. degree in physics in 1982. He continued his education in City University of New York, NY attaining his PhD in physics in 1987. His current research projects include, developing Virtual Colonoscopy Technologies and developing Texture-Based Computer-aided Detection/Diagnosis. Other areas of research interest include Image Reconstruction, Processing and Visualization.
