Dr. Jeremy R. Beitler, MD, MPH, is a Pulmonary and Critical Care Physician and Director of the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) at NYU Langone Health in New York. He is a faculty member in the Department of Medicine at NYU Grossman School of Medicine, where he also serves as an Associate Professor of Medicine. In these roles, Dr. Beitler leads clinical care for critically ill patients and oversees the operations and quality improvement initiatives of NYU Langone’s adult ICUs.

Dr. Beitler received his medical degree (MD) from the University of California, San Diego School of Medicine and completed his internal medicine residency, pulmonary fellowship, and critical care medicine training at the University of Washington Medical Center in Seattle. He is board-certified in Internal Medicine, Pulmonary Disease, and Critical Care Medicine.

Clinically, Dr. Beitler specializes in the management of patients with acute respiratory failure, sepsis, and other life-threatening critical illnesses, with particular expertise in advanced mechanical ventilation and extracorporeal life support (ECMO). He has been a leader in developing evidence-based protocols to improve outcomes in patients with complex respiratory failure and has contributed significantly to national critical care guidelines.
