Jeremiah R. Brown, Ph.D., MS is an expert in cardiovascular epidemiology, health services research, and quality improvement. Dr. Brown completed his MS and Ph.D. at the Center for the Evaluative Clinical Sciences at Dartmouth in collaboration with the Northern New England Cardiovascular Disease Study Group. He was awarded Postdoctoral Fellowships from the American Heart Association and Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ).

Currently, Dr. Brown is the Principal Investigator of a K-01 grant from AHRQ on Patient Safety and Acute Kidney Injury with an emphasis in qualitative and quantitative health services research and improvement. He is also conducting health services research to investigate geographic variation in heart failure, cardiovascular and renal disease care intensity. Dr. Brown is the author of over 50 publications and has international recognition for his work in acute kidney injury. He is a task force member of the Society for Thoracic Surgery Blood Conservation Guidelines and is an active member of the Acute Kidney Injury Network in developing guidelines for acute kidney injury research, endpoints, and prevention.

Dr. Brown is a course Director for the TDI Masters of Science Research Tutorial (ECS 177, 178, and 179). He collaborates with the Section of Cardiology at the Dartmouth-Hitchcock Heart and Vascular Center where he mentors and trains cardiology fellows in clinical research.
