Jenny Rissler, senior researcher (Ph.D. & Docent) in aerosol physics with expertise in X-ray spectroscopy methods. Is also a Lecturer at Lund University.
Jenny has worked with airborne particles - both in an indoor environment, outdoor environment, work environment, and nanotechnology - with aerosol physics, measurement technology, exposure, reduction technology, health effects of particles, and interdisciplinary with the connection between aerosol physics, chemistry, and biology. She also has expertise in lung deposition of particles and lung physiology, as well as in particles suspended in a liquid.
For almost 10 years, she has worked with Nanosafety - ie safety aspects and risks related to introducing nanomaterials on the market. In collaboration with the waste group at RISE, she has, among other things, initiated several studies of risks in the final handling of products containing nanomaterials. Jenny also sits as a representative on the expert panel for SweNanoSafe - a national platform for nanosafety.
As of 2018, she also works as an expert in industrial applications of X-ray spectroscopy, with XPS (X-ray Photoelectron Spectroscopy) and XAS (X-ray Absorption Spectroscopy).
