Dr. Jennifer Soung graduated from Brown University with a Bachelor of Arts in biology and earned her medical degree from Albert Einstein School of Medicine, New York, in 2005. After completing an internship in internal medicine at the University of California, Los Angeles Veteran Hospital, she also completed a prestigious dermatopharmacology fellowship at the Mt. Sinai School of Medicine, where she gained extensive experience in clinical research and innovative treatment techniques. She then completed her dermatology residency at the Mt. Sinai School of Medicine and the University of California, Irvine School of Medicine.
Dr. Soung began her career at the University of California, Irvine School of Medicine faculty as an Assistant Professor of Dermatology and the Director of Dermatology Clinical Research for 5 years. She is now the Founder and Director of Clinical Research at Southern California Dermatology, where she conducts clinical trials in addition to private practice. Dr. Soung also has a passion for teaching fellow physicians and doctors-in-training and serves as clinical faculty at the University of California, Los Angeles Harbor Medical Center.
Beyond the clinic, she is very well published and an international speaker at dermatology meetings. She is currently a board member of the National Psoriasis Foundation Medical Board. Dr. Soung has received the Rising Star award for Super Doctors, an honor given to the top 2% of physicians in Southern California, and Best Doctors of Orange County. Beloved by her patients and colleagues, Dr. Soung’s attention to individualized patient care, thorough communication, and compassion make her stand out among her peers.
