Ms. Packard is a Patient Experience Senior Advisor with the Office of Patient Experience at Mayo Clinic, working within the discipline of Patient Communication Training, Education, & Coaching (PXTEC). With a background in counseling psychology, she has more than twenty years of experience in the mental health fields of addictions, developmental disabilities, behavior change, and communication in healthcare.

As an educator, trainer and program director, Ms. Packard has served as faculty within several institutions of higher learning including Mayo Medical School and the Mayo Clinic Wellness Coach Training Program. She is a National Board Certified Health and Wellness Coach, a member of the Motivational Interviewing Network of Trainers (MINT), and an expert in empathic communication strategies.

She has served as a course facilitator and content expert on topics of addictions, behavior change, coaching, conflict de-escalation, and service excellence both nationally and internationally. Currently, Ms. Packard is responsible for the ongoing content development and training in empathic communication of all supervisory and frontline staff within Practice Operations at Mayo Clinic, as well as providing training and individual coaching to physicians and mid-level providers.
