Dr. Jennifer Catlin, MD, MPH, is a board-eligible surgeon and faculty member specializing in Acute Care Surgical Services and Trauma with VCU Health. She serves patients across multiple care settings, including ambulatory and hospital-based centers in Richmond and Tappahannock, Virginia.

Dr. Catlin earned her medical degree from Tulane University School of Medicine and completed her residency training at Eastern Virginia Medical School. She further advanced her clinical expertise through a surgical fellowship at VCU Medical Center, where her training emphasized critical care and surgical management of acute and traumatic conditions.

In her clinical practice, Dr. Catlin focuses on the care of seriously injured and critically ill surgical patients. Her work involves collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to provide timely, evidence-based care in high-acuity environments, including trauma and surgical intensive care units. Beyond clinical duties, she contributes to the academic mission of the department as an Assistant Professor of Surgery, engaging in the education and training of surgical residents and fellows.
