Dr. Jennifer Accardo, MD, MSCE, is an Associate Professor in the Department of Pediatrics at Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU) School of Medicine and a faculty physician at the Children’s Hospital of Richmond at VCU. She directs clinical and academic efforts in developmental pediatrics and contributes to pediatric care and education within the department, reflecting a strong commitment to children’s health and interdisciplinary practice.

Dr. Accardo earned her Doctor of Medicine (MD) and holds a Master of Science in Clinical Epidemiology (MSCE). She completed pediatric residency training at Cook County Children’s Hospital and fellowship training at the Kennedy Krieger Institute, affiliated with the University of Pennsylvania.

Her clinical specialization includes developmental pediatrics with a focus on neurodevelopmental disabilities and sleep medicine for children with developmental disorders. Dr. Accardo is actively engaged in professional activities, serves on editorial boards, and is a member of multiple national academic and clinical organizations, including the American Academy of Pediatrics and the American Academy of Sleep Medicine. She has also been recognized as a “Top Doc in Neurodevelopmental and Behavioral Pediatrics” by Richmond Magazine for several consecutive years.
